Immanuel Coe Vocational Technical Institute - Hyderabad, India

Dear friends and relatives,

On April 5, 2011, Linda and I created the Immanuel Coe Vocational Technical Institute outside of Hyderabad, India. This institute is aligned with AIM Asia, and the work of Bishop Joab Lohara in India.

This institute is one of the first in India which will empower the lowest caste of people to own a small business and to grow that business using Christian principles and good business techniques.  The first vocational segment provides small taxi driving instruction at a low cost to the student. After instruction and passing a driver’s exam for certifying, the students may rent one of the Institute’s small taxi’s to start their business. Through hard work and saving, they will be able to purchase one of the Institute taxis to enhance profits. At no other time in their lives have they been able to accomplish such an endeavor.  Each owner is asked to give a portion of the profits back to the school so more people can experience this transforming opportunity. All of these activities are accomplished within the mission of Bishop Lohara.

The building of the institute has already provided for construction jobs in a very poor area. As this institute grows, we will offer vocational training in small taxi and motor bike repair, electric construction, welding, and fruit farming.

Already the response from Indians is overwhelming and this is where we need your help, if you are able and inclined to do so. First, we need your prayers for the final construction of the Institute building which needs to be accomplished quickly to start the classes.

If you would like to donate, here are some suggestions. We need:
  • $6,000.00 for a taxi which will be replaced when purchased by a student. Your name will go inside the taxi for passengers’ to see. You might want to pool your money as a family or give your church the opportunity.
  • $1,000.00 for a month’s salary for teachers.
  • $100.00 for mango trees.
  • $2,000.00 for a buried gas tank which will become a gas station for locals as well as the institute.
  • $500.00 for desks and chairs.
  • $20,000.00 for interior finishing of the institute: paint, flooring, doorways.
  • Contribute any amount to operations. It will be put to good use.
We are building powerful relationships and changing lives. Thank you for your consideration.

Blessings,
Dr. James Coe
